Hangar Sync · Org Fleet

Privacy

This covers the Hangar Sync browser extension and the org fleet site at fleetmafia.com. Short version: we only keep a list of your ships and the callsign you choose. Nothing personal, and nothing is sold or shared.

Last updated 25 October 2026.

The Hangar Sync extension

Hangar Sync runs only on two kinds of page: your hangar on robertsspaceindustries.com (Account > Pledges), and the org fleet pages on fleetmafia.com.

What it reads

On your RSI hangar page it reads each pledge's ships and upgrades, using the RSI session you are already signed in with. It never sees or touches your RSI password, and it doesn't read any other RSI page or any other site.

What it does with it

What it keeps in your browser

Three values in the extension's own storage: when it last synced, and, if linked, the org page's upload address and your upload code. Unlink from the toolbar popup or remove the extension to clear them.

The extension has no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and loads no code from anywhere else.

The org fleet site

Signing in

You sign in with Discord. We use it once, at sign in, to get an account id, which we turn into a scrambled key (a keyed hash) so the stored data can't be tied back to your Discord account. If an org you're joining asks for it, Discord is also asked whether you're in that org's Discord server or have its role. Discord's access token is cancelled straight after. We never keep your Discord name, id, email or avatar.

What we keep

We never keep your RSI handle, pledge names, prices or custom ship names. The site doesn't save IP addresses with your data.

Who can see it

Only members of an org see that org's fleet, by callsign. Owners and admins also see the member list by callsign. The Commodity Trader can use the ships of people who share an org with you. Nobody else sees it, and it is never sold, shared or used for ads.

Cookies

One sign-in cookie that lasts 30 days, plus two short-lived ones used only during Discord sign in and while joining an org. No tracking or advertising cookies.

Your control

On the Org Fleet page, under Manage my data, you can make a new upload code (the old one stops working), remove your ships, or delete everything about you, which also takes you out of every org. Deleting is immediate. If you own an org, hand it to someone else first.
